Nancy and I went in to this business 12 years ago because of our love of wine and the fun of turning people on to new wine experiences. Yes our two stores are where you can make fabulous wine or take the kits home and make it there, but to us it is more than that. We feel that our customers should try great commercial wines too. So this site is for both types of people. Check out our food and wine section. We give you tips on serving the right wine with food and we also give tips on how to taste and judge wines. Hopefully some of you will be turned on to the world of wines and see this as an educational experience.

Wines made from kits today and the reasons for doing so are totally different then when we started in the business. People are still making wines to save money, and the fun and ease of doing so, but now it is also because it fits into the new life style of entertaining friends at home, rather than going out to dinner. They want to be able to have a great steak dinner and a fabulous bottle of wine, and know there friends will have an experience that is ascomparable as going to a good restraunt.
Will you be able to get a kit wine as good as a $30.00 bottle of wine?
No, but you can make some great wines for $4.00 to $6.00 a bottle that is comparable to a $17.00 to $20.00 commercial wine. For even less money you can have a great table wine. Just like in the liquor store, you get what you pay for with a kit wine. The only difference is that you can save money with us and still have the great taste.
Have a look at the links as they can quickly take you to other sites Recipies, making Wines for Weddings, Wine & Health and much more. If you are thinking of making wine at home or in our on-premise winemaking facilities check out our FAQ's or Frequently Asked Questions.
FAQ's for Newbies is for those that have never made wine before. Wine Making FAQ's covers what is involved in making wine, while Home Making FAQ's is for those wanting to take this up as a home hobby.
Nancy and I have operated our first winemaking facility at Vedder Crossing Plaza since 1998, and opened our second U-vin in 2004 at Southgate Plaza in downtown Chilliwack. We firmly believe that no matter the price range of your wine the finished wine should be the best quality possible for the money spent. That is why we have chosen to go with Cellar Craft, and RJ Spagnols because they match our ideals that top quality wine kits are as important as the bottom line. Both companies take immense pride in the quality of their wine kits and the finished wines they produce. These wines are as good and even better than a lot of the commercial wines that you pay a lot more for.
From the less expensive 4-week kits, right up to the top of the line offerings there is quality in the finished wine, put like commercially made wines, the quality goes up with the price. The difference in price between the different levels of quality is not that great when you consider that every $30 increase in kit price translates into a cost increase of about 25 cents a glass. We guarantee the extra price is worth it in quality and taste, and if you don't feel you got your monies worth, bring the wine back for a full refund. You can't beat that offer.
For those that like the fruit flavoured wines we carry the Orchard Breezin line from Spagnols. They have a large number of selections to meet the many varied tastes of different people. If you want light summer sippers, or just a nice light wine for a lazy afternoon these Spagnol Orchard Breezin are worth checking out.
Like a lot of U-vins, we sell kits which have been made by other people who have won medals. At Divine Wines we feel we must do more than this. We must test our own wine making skills and so we enter our own wines in competitions. This has resulted in us winning a number of medals including at international events. That is why we know you will be proud to serve these wines to friends and family.
After all this information, the most important thing to remember is that we fully guarantee the results. If you don't like the wine, bring it back. Every one is different and sometimes all we have to do is make slight adjustment to your wine. if we can't fix it, we give you the option of putting on another wine or getting your money back.
